matrimo Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) We noticed that the search results on dmoz.org are quite large and are returning related results when DMOZ do not find the exact match listed. For example, when we are looking for <url removed per forum tos>, (pending approval) we are seeing the competitor website. Question: I wonder for later, after being analyzed and eventually accepted in the DMOZ directory, who will show up first: the site we are looking for, or its competitor. As that category do not have an editor yet, we are prepared to wait several months maybe, to know the answer. Edited November 1, 2016 by Elper
RZ Admin Elper Posted November 1, 2016 RZ Admin Posted November 1, 2016 The Dmoz search engine was originally designed as a tool for editors; it's designed to give near match results, though these aren't always as useful as we would like. In this case it's returning a different domain with an extra "e" - Sorry, there's nothing we can do about that. It's quite likely that when your site is eventually listed it will give both url's as a result. 1 elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
matrimo Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 I understand. Thank you for your point of vue.
