DougO Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Greetings, Is there any documentation available that provides descriptions of the RDF tags used in structure.rdf? For example, what is the difference between "narrow", "narrow1", and "narrow2" structure tags? Thanks, -DougO
RZ Admin Elper Posted May 19, 2015 RZ Admin Posted May 19, 2015 Hi, I only know of http://rdf.dmoz.org/rdf/tags.html and http://rdf.dmoz.org/rdf/Changes.html , neither of which appear to have the information you requested. I'll ping someone with more knowledge of the subject elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
RZ Admin Elper Posted May 19, 2015 RZ Admin Posted May 19, 2015 Found a reference to these tags on our internal forums: ...the RDF file contains links for subcategories, but the ones "above the line" carry a <narrow1 ...> to distinguish them... So they refer to the sort order of subcategories, matching the feature in the live directory... elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
Meta tanstaaf1 Posted May 31, 2015 Meta Posted May 31, 2015 If we take Arts: Animation as an example, the subcategories are divided into 3 sections: "narrow" indicates the bottom section subcategories like Artists "narrow1" - the middle section (Production) "narrow2" - the top section, like Anime Similarly, the symlinks@ in these 3 sections are indicated by "symbolic", "symbolic1", "symbolic2"
DougO Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Thank you for the replies. That helps clarify the intended usage of those tags. -DougO
