blake madden Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Hello- I've changed the address of my website, but am unable to use the update listing feature. Although my old website comes up in a search, entering that url into the update form results in a message stating the url can not be found. Therefore, I'm unable to update the listing. Also, clicking on the category that results from the search does not actually display my site listing. I've submitted my new website url as a new listing (after the update attempt failed) and hope that was the right move. What I'm really attempting to do is to update and regain my listing from my old url to the new. The old site now redirects (301 permanent) to the new site. I understand that editors are overwhelmed with new content demands, but I hope you'll have a moment to look into this- I appreciate your help very much. Sincerely- Blake Madden (this post has been rephrased to remove specific site references)
Meta windharp Posted August 21, 2009 Meta Posted August 21, 2009 Search is quite outdated, as numerous posts point out. If your old site is down for some time, chances are good that our automated tools or an editor already noticed and chaned the site back to unreviewed state, or updated it to reflect the new state if that was possible. If the new site is not listed instead of the old one, I suggest you resuggest the new URL to the category the old site was listed in. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
