Suggestion: Status on URL submissions

General Suggestion:

 

Have some simple page that lists if the url you submitted has been checked by a editor /and or deleted.

 

something like

 

When a user submits a site - they get a ID # - which they can check to see if anyone did anything with there submittion

I have a feeling alot of dup urls get posted which bogs everything down ..

Thank you for the idea, but it has been proposed, discussed, requested, and demanded many many times over the years. You can read some of the many forums threads here to see the results.

 

Subsequent suggestions overwrite previous ones, and in any case volunteer editors are not required to review suggestions at all, so there is not really anything to get "bogged down". Multiple suggestions can, of course, be seen as spam.
