kriu82 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 The menu system in http://www.dmoz.org/World/Eesti/ is in totally wrong language. Please keep it in english, if yo don't have estonian menu texts.
Meta windharp Posted February 16, 2008 Meta Posted February 16, 2008 Actually, they are supposed to be in estonian. If we didn't have strings that are marked to be estonian, the software would indeed automatically use english ones. I am forwarding this issue to the appropriate people, thanks for notifying us. Editall/Catmv ottodv Posted February 16, 2008 Editall/Catmv Posted February 16, 2008 I reported this problem some time ago and provided the missing translations for Estonian. We are currently waiting for staff to fix some problems with the language tools. When they have done that the language will be changed to Estonian. I agree that Finnish shouldn't have been used at all for this category and that it should have remained in English until an Estonian translation was ready. :moz: ODP Editor ottodv
kriu82 Posted February 17, 2008 Author Posted February 17, 2008 Thanks for answering. I could help, if there's something, that I could too.

Editall/Catmv ottodv Posted February 18, 2008 Editall/Catmv Posted February 18, 2008 The best way to help the project is to become an editor I agree, and I will add that we need more Estonian speaking editors (I am not one of them I am still learning Estonian, a friend helped me with the translations). I can give you one tip, read carefully and if you get a rejection read that carefully and try again. I didn't get in the first time either. :moz: ODP Editor ottodv
Amian Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Just wanted to report that bug Any progress so far?
Amian Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 The best way to help the project is to become an editor. See http://editors.dmoz.org/help/become.html if you think it might be of interest... Cannot access the web page ,authorization required. Just wanted to apply for editor position, but the application form is not in estonian nor english, it's in finnish though. Any chance to do it other way so I could help you later with translations ?
motsa Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 You have to apply before you can become an editor. Can you change your settings to English temporarily so that you can read the English application? Cannot access the web page ,authorization required. Try http://dmoz.org/help/become.html
