divicohen Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 In the past I was in a wrong category in a wrong city,, I tried to update and I got removed from the wrong category but I was not placed in any other to replace, a few weeks ago I submitted again ( http://www.divinemoving.com ) could you tell if it went through??
dogbows Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Could you please provide more information? We need a clickable link to the the category that you were listed in and the category for which you wish to be moved. Thank you. Added: And perhaps a kind Moderator could move this to the proper forum.
Meta hutcheson Posted March 24, 2005 Meta Posted March 24, 2005 Waiting review in http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/New_York/Localities/N/New_York_City/Manhattan/Business_and_Economy/Shipping,_Storage,_and_Logistics/ Please don't submit any more. Over a dozen submittals have already been deleted simply as dups. You can check back here in six months, if you don't see the site listed by then.
divicohen Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 thanks, you answerd my question and also "dogbows" ....
divicohen Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 any updates? I was just wondering if there is any news? it's been six monthes now...(like I've been told to wait)
Meta pvgool Posted September 7, 2005 Meta Posted September 7, 2005 Unluckely for you we decided to stop answering status requests. Please read the FAQ for the reasons. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
divicohen Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 I read the faq but I can't figure out if I need to submit again, I read in a few different posts that it's recommended to submit again after a month or two if you don't see your site...so since I waited 6 months and nothing had changed maybe I should post again? what's in the past is past? any suggestions on how to proceed from here? again I was on the odp but when I tried to update the info I got cut off completely
Meta nea Posted September 8, 2005 Meta Posted September 8, 2005 Please see post 3: Please don't submit any more. Over a dozen submittals have already been deleted simply as [duplicates]. This is still true and will not stop being true. Curlie Meta and kMeta editor nea
Meta hutcheson Posted September 8, 2005 Meta Posted September 8, 2005 >I read in a few different posts that it's recommended to submit again after a month or two if you don't see your site. This is still not true and will never start being true.

Alucard Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I said ONCE more - that makes 2 in total. Please read the rest of that post, rather than taking that comment out of context. Reading the rest of it should make it less confusing. Based on what has been said in this forum, you have already exceeded the number TWO by several factors. Do not submit again.
divicohen Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 This the reason I ask...I never took you words out of content in the last 6 months while I was waiting there was no submission of any kind, I only did the update since my site was placed in a wrong category in a wrong state. and since than we are waiting,
Meta pvgool Posted September 8, 2005 Meta Posted September 8, 2005 Read post #3 in this thread You have been told 1) your site is waiting review 2) and don't submit any more With the amount of suggestions being made for this site in the past any more suggestions will be seen as spam and might get you, this site and all others sites you might be involved with to be banned. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
motsa Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 And that's what you should continue to do...wait.
divicohen Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 I have no problem with that... last time I was told to check back in 6 months and so I did... I guess it will take much longer than that...
spectregunner Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 The six month thing as an artifical time constraint we had to put in while we were still giving status checks. Some people were beinbg ridiculous in the frequency with which they were demanding our attention. It really has nothing to do with how long it takes for us to review a given submission; those timelines vary wildly by category, and are impossible to predict.
Meta hutcheson Posted September 8, 2005 Meta Posted September 8, 2005 Don't guess how long it will take. Needless despair or pointless frustration are the only possible consequences (depending not on whether but on in which direction your guess is wrong.)
