Hi,

I was an active editor (gia88) when DMOZ was closed. I just heard about the new site in the works and would like to help out. I tried to log into the new Curlie editor forum, but it said I didn't exist. Looking for Elper to save the day as always.

I tried to reply to the "Member to Editor" thread <https://www.resource-zone.com/forum/t/member-to-editor.26570/> but for some reason your system says I have insufficient privileges to reply to the thread. Yet, I can create this one. Strange.

 

I am dmoz editor "mcdutchie" of /World/Interlingua and others. Please change my status here to Editor.

 

Also, I am unable to join the curlie forums because the password reminder email does not arrive. The reason is that curlie.org sends password reminder emails using a nonexistent domain as the SMTP envelope sender domain, which my mail server blocks (as most mail servers do).

For Curlie it's an ongoing process to track down and eliminate the last bugs left in the new forum... Some tweaks have been made so if you could both try again and report results?

Please update my status to editor as well. Ultimate goal is that I can access the Curlie forums (as of now, I used to be an editor in DMOZ, but when I apply for a password @Curlie, it never arrives). Thanks.

@Elper Still no luck. It at least acknowledged me as a user, but said my password didn't match (I have it written down, so it is the correct password). I used the "forgot password" link about a week ago, but it didn't send me anything. I tried again this morning but still nothing.

I was an editor (tomhanway), now here as a member, and I want my status changed back to editor and want to stay (or move to any other appropriate places) in the mix, whatever update/s you need to do for me (as an active editor at the time of dmoz's site being taken down).

 

I look forward to getting back to work as a volunteer at dmoz when it's up and running. Thank you in advance.
