Cant believe it has closed. Shocking. It was one of truest directories on the internet.
Just read about it yesterday. So sad! I miss all the work and fun in dmoz from all the reorganization we did especially in Regional.
Discussions about a successor is ongoing at curlie.org! ☺
Really it is shocking news. May I know the reason of closure please ?

@wells50 - We deactivated the link posting due to spam issues. The zvelo article is about the reasons they had identified for our "Dmize" - Kind of sad, but thanks for posting
@Naeem Khan - Yes, closed. We are working at relaunching a new directory, and will post in these forums when we have something working!
We are looking forward to a solid replacement/upgrade for the directory. Hope that it doesn't take long to launch the new one.
Thanks, we are hoping the same
Thanks. Look forward to relaunch of a new directory.
