Hi all. I have just submitted my new site http://www.birthday.co.uk to the directory i think i submitted it to http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Gifts/ but not sure sorry please can anyone tell me how long does it take to get listed and is the dmoz directory very important to be in if i want the search engines to index my sites successfully. I hope someone can guide me on this. thanks to all laskos

I just registered to come in and say thanks to the editor (Australian IP) that visited my site on May 12th, LESS THAN ONE MONTH after I submitted it. As far as I can see (comparing with Google's cache) it was listed today. That is AWESOME service for a volunteer directory (even if the best) in a heavily SEOd and spammed category. Thanks very much and keep up the good work. Please can someone make sure this is seen by the right editor.

Hi, I have been trying to get listed for about 6 months now. I keep re writing my Title and Description to be very non objective and without sales lingo. ( Still no luck) Only 4 other sites in this category - http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/New_York/Counties/Westchester/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/ This is what I am using- Michael Luchen: CS Realty Relocation Services. Hi, I submitted on 4/21/05 and haven't heard anything since. I'm actually not entirely sure the submission occurred--did not receive a confirmation by email or anything. Just wondering where it stands, and I apologize for the bother.
