Becoming and Editor ?

Dear Sirs,

Myself Kapil Khambholja from Kherva, Gujarat India.
I had applied once before at ODP before but was rejected. I had applied for a local category
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/...alities/Khevra

where in live in. ( It is a small town of Gujarat State )

The things that got me to become the editor for the same were many.

1) I always wanted to become an editor at dmoz.org wherein whose search data is being used by majority of search engines.
2) I have many of my websites that can be easily be submitted into dmoz.org
3) The quality of content that dmoz.org provide, the description is perfectly well written manually, about what actually it offers.
4) The name of my locality "Kherva" is miss-spelled in dmoz at Khevra..
5) I was rejected before, but i don't know why ?.
6) This time i have applied for an underdeveloped category, where in can explore out many websites from.
7) Being a local guy from Kherwa, i would indeed prove quite usefull for submitting the websites related to that area.

I was being referred by Mr. Kartik Shah, Editor of http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Gujarat/
to fill up the forum at resource-zone.com for the same.

Hope you would considered my humble request of becoming an editor, as i already have the qualities that are being required by dmoz.org.
Are dmoz.org people so harsh, that they don't let anyone to become an editor, as one of my friend is trying since last year, but all his deeds are in vein.

yes u r right, they are very strict in choosing the editor, and this is very good for ODP

If there are no applications currently waiting for review in that category, then it means one of two things: (1) the application was never received or (2) the application was rejected.

This is no problem.
The mail you received askes you to reply to it. By doing so you are confirming that the mailaddress you supplied belongs to you. Only after replying to the mail your application will be viewable for our meta editors.

Did you reply to the email that you got when you applied? If you did, then your application was rejected. If you didn't, then you need to reply to the email or your application won't go through for us to even see.

I see a previous application for http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/...alities/Khevra which I assume was declined. You should have received feedback when that application was declined. You can read more about becoming an editor in the FAQ and General Advice at the top of this forum.
