I have one question..95,016 editors:1,010,596 categories - Is the editor per category ratio increasing or decreasing compared to the past?

I have no idea. This is not something we are monitoring.
But keep in mind that the number of editors means: all people who have once been an editor.
It does not mean that all these people are actively editing at this moment in time.

I understand. Well I applied to be an editor a while ago for a category that interests me. Would love to contribute to the directory if the opportunity ever presents itself. Thanks for your response.
