As usual I am always trying my best to do my part to help out Jim Noble and the rest of the DMOZ editors. The following topic: Games/Gambling/Chats_and_Forums/

No, please don't apply to become an editor for a category unless you actually want to be an editor for that category and can find listable sites for that aren't already listed.

The best place to report sites with issues is the   Report Hijacks, Dead Links, Inappropriate ODP Content, and other issues here ONLY thread in this forum. Please use that in the future. Someone will look at the one you've reported here eventually. Please be patient.

thank you for the feedback and removing the spam that the other forum members posted. I would like to apply as an editor for the http://www.dmoz.org/...ambling/Sports/ or http://www.dmoz.org/...d_Handicapping/ category as I know just about every good and bad site out there from doing my due diligence on them but feel I probably would not be accepted since I own a sports tipping website. Would that be a conflict of interest? Due to forum rules and guidelines I can not tell you what the site is here but if you Private message me I do believe I am allowed to tell you through there.

It's not a conflict of interest if you declare it in your editor application and, if accepted, refrain from giving it favourable treatment.

The trick is to leave your website owner hat at the door when you log in .

If you don't trust yourself but still like the idea of editing, choose a starter category of interest where there won't be any temptation. Your home town perhaps.
